  1. Speaking of unlikely success as a raider, you should check out the story of the SMS Seeadler. A sail powered German raider that roamed the Atlantic and the Pacific capturing and sinking Entente shipping. If my memory is correct, only 1 person (from either side) died throughout their whole campaign.
