  1. Most headlight lenses nowadays are plastic, and most clear plastics will fog and yellow from the Sun's UV rays unless they are protected with a UV blocking lacquer. If you don't lacquer them, the haze will soon come back, worse than previously since you've now buffed off what lacquer was left on them.
