  1. BTW - Pontiac was not the only company to use the trick of stealing the front chassis of a FWD car to make the rear suspension of a mass-market mid-engined sports car. Off of the top of my head, the following come to mind: Toyota's MR2 (Corola), Porsche's Boxster/Cayman (996 front suspension), and Fiat's X-1/9 (131).
