  1. In the first section, you don't mention this, but I love how the moods of the chords change in synch with the lyrics. So at 10:52, it starts nostalgic, the cross-hand portion almost an echo, and then at 11:00 it changes to more jarring augmented chords before at 11:18 settling into moody minor chords and then the blues turn-around, while the lyrics describe the end of his happy life, regret at his action and the foreboding of the ramifications of his actions. Perfectly coordinated with the lyrics as you would find in a romantic style opera. Just the observation of a former drummer.
