  1. Rick says that Moon was "playing time". Maybe for Keith Moon that was "playing time", but Keith Moon never just "played time". If you listen closely or watch him on videos he's throwing away all sorts of little grace notes and ghost notes which you can hardly hear on the recording, often supporting melody as only he can. It was against his nature to "just play time".
