  2. Yes ... but ... I'm getting a bit tired of female vocalists all emulating Eartha Kitt by singing with the smallest voice that they can muster. Yes, it's a cool effect and fits in certain situations. But enough already!

  3.  @gustafcederborg9744  Hey, I love Ertha Kitt too! But every female singer today doesn't need to constantly copy her style. If they want to evoke an homage to female jazz singers of the '50's and '60's, why not emulate Ella Fitzgerald, Keely Smith, Billie Holliday or Pearl Bailey? For something different, why not adapt some of Shirley Bassey's style into their repertoire?

  4. The Grammys? Eh! They have meant nothing to me since Joe Jackson's "Stepping Out" lost out to Lionel Richie's "Dancing on the Ceiling" for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance in 1983.
