  1. 8:20 - you were having "The Talk" that we have heard so much about recently. Hats off to you, it's good sense for everyone. A couple of other tricks: 1) Don't be the fastest car on the road. It's better to be the 2nd fastest and let the fastest guy get the ticket. 2) Be looking as far down the road as you can see. Note how the other drivers are acting. If you see a car half a mile ahead of you on the highway dab their brakes, assume he has seen a cop.

  3.  @clayton8or  Residential roads are something else completely. Also "not being the fastest car" in a highway situation does not mean being second in line travelling at extra-legal speeds. Let the car that is in a hurry get at least 300-500 yards ahead of you, and be mindful of his brake lights.
