@TheJadeFist with the possible (but unlikely. I'm sure they'd like to keep Siberia) exception of Russia, why would any of those countries take the PRC's side?

@TheJadeFist the replacement used in that insufficient goal is the rmb. That's worse. Plus.... Think of all the downsides of having a China that's unrestrained by another major power. Particularly for its neighbours.

@TheJadeFist that has nothing to do with your statement that all those countries would side with the PRC.

@TheJadeFist all of my comments are focused on other countries and why they would side with the PRC in a war. And none of your post comes anywhere near to giving a sufficient reason for those countries to help create a world in which the PRC has no major power restraining it. As far as printing money goes, doing away with the reserve currency or changing the reserve currency won't give any of those countries the power to print limitless amounts of cash without inflation Edit: also, belt AND road. Not Belton road. Further edit: I'll be clearer. The US can do this because there's a massive market for US dollars that will soak up whatever it prints. For a variety of reasons that now goes beyond oil. That massive demand is what keeps the value of the US dollar high. Not every country can have a similarly massive market for its currency. There's only so much the global currency market can absorb. Breaking free of the US wouldn't magically mean all of those other countries could print out cash and be assured of a buyer. Maybe one or two of them could, but that would probably it. Then it realistically comes down to a choice between the euro and the rmb, which is controlled by the CCP.
