  1. About the only people I've personally come across who even think this should be the case are those who are against the USA or capitalism. They're the only ones I really see who are unable to deal with the fact that the USA isn't perfect in every way. It's a bloody long way from being perfect and doesn't have anything remotely like a spotless record in any area. It's just.... Massively better than the amazingly low bar set by the other major powers of the 20th and 21st century. By pretty much any metric anyone who's against the USA or capitalism in general claims to care about. (Minor countries can afford to have a spotless record. No-one cares if New Zealand simply turns a blind eye to something it doesn't want to deal with. If the USA turns a blind eye to X atrocity, though, the people who'll complain if it does something seem to be the same people who scream the house down at its inaction)
