  3.  @SpookyMarine  Yeah. It's basically equating turning a blind eye to someone getting mugged with putting the boot in and taking the guy's wallet. Both bad, but the latter is much worse. An enabler vs an instigator.

  4.  @IOStalin  Czechoslovakia was a disgrace. So was Poland. But still a different level to active participation. Britain, France, etc disgraced themselves by opposition to war and the deluded belief they could avoid it. The USSR actively joined in and assisted for its own share of the spoils.
