It's that pretty much every European alliance? And even every country's reason for joining the EU.

Was getting enrolled in the class appropriately Byzantine?

@francesleones4973 even happier that he's not been left red... Faced.

As a Cornishman in Australia. I'll admit I twitched at starting off the story of England with the Roman invasion. If anything, that really should have been the start of the Welsh story.

It's been said that Blue is English, and is using that as a way of legally killing a few Scotsmen.

@miket7869 the funny thing here is that if the origin myth was true, he was.
4
Obligatory, yet belated reply something something dominant something something. But after going through similar ones, I now can't get over how a golden opportunity to put a dragon on the Union Flag was missed.

Also if we recycled waste like they recycled names, we'd be in a global green utopia.

@leemarshall348 you don't think those cunning greeks might have had the same idea? Except even more cunningly, placing it year after so it looked like someone was trying to one up them

Scotland kind of bought all its recent misery on itself by allowing Braveheart to be made. Didn't even try to stop it. Seriously, that's an epic shitload of negative karma to make up for.

I'm wondering what happens when he does accidentally repeat one.

As a Cornishman in exile, I'm also interested.

The Hong Kong handover wasn't them not caring, it was a lack of better alternatives. Won't argue for a moment with the others, but that one was very definitely trying to get the least bad outcome in handing over a modern, civilised state to a government that was comprised of lying, murderous barbarians. (as in take the worst that people say about any Western government, dial that thing up to 11 and that's probably going to describe the CCP)

Dude! Spoilers!

@benjaminprentice6837 Principality that's part of the Kingdom of England, or something like that. Which, and lets be completely honest here, is a technicality that should have been ignored, considering it would have let them put a freaking dragon on the Union Flag. Downside would obviously be that it would out-awesome the rest of the flag. But freaking Dragons! Yeah!

@Tytoalba777 I'm flexible on anything that leads to dragon.

Yeah. See. That last one is so amazingly superficial I have to wonder if anything was learned from it. Like... Hitler is just a man. He wasn't a country or an army. How he convinced people to follow him is a major thing. And to say that Hitler started it is simplifying it a bit... It's more accurate to say that Hitler and Stalin started it together. What happened in WW2 isn't where the lessons are. The important lessons are how WW2 happened in the first place. And... So much more. What you've done would barely qualify as a cartoon. As far as that being the 'only' reason it's important.... In many ways, (together with WW1, considering how intertwined the effect of those wars is) it represents the killing off of the old world. It delegitimised the dictator in Western eyes. It's also a classic example of why using violence to suppress speech or influence politics is bad. I'm looking right at Antifa as I say this. They've got far more in common with Hitler's brownshirts than they do with most other groups.

This being said, it wasn't long before this that it really wasn't. That only really started with the Brothers Grachii.

You need to appreciate a beer that not only survives, but is improved by the passage to India. Also, as someone who learnt pinyin phonetics, the lesser IPA feels like something guaranteed to screw me.

So I'm Australian Cornish through my father. My mother is from new Zealand (her family was among the first Europeans to get there) He used to take jabs at her for being English. A few years before he died, he bought her a DNA kit as a "present" and they both did it. When he found that she was 0% English (her family came from Ireland before hitting England) while he was 4 percent was a happy day for her.

@FranciT98 they gave us Cante. Dante only told us the consequences of doing what we shouldn't do. Cante told us the consequences of trying the impossible.

Thanks, Chinese communist party. For saving us the money we'd have otherwise wasted on holiday, leisure, travel and seeing loved ones. All completely impossible if you hadn't done such a wonderful job of "containing" the virus.

The real ones are well worth reading up on, though.

@tyberiusmartyn38 look up the origin of that comparison. There's a photo of him and Obama. Obama is Tigger, btw.

@viniciuscristovao6031 Troy is in Turkey. Which is part of Asia.

@leemarshall348 he had the same travel agent as Odysseus.

Brilliant, but needed to be five minutes longer. Same content, same script, I just had to keep pausing and rewinding to go over stuff I missed. Particularly text. It's free and I'm not getting bored. Slow down 😝️

Bit of trivia: This is celebrated in New Zealand, but isn't in Australia. Reason is because new Zealand became a Protestant place that only had free settlers, while Australia took a couple of generations to drop the criminal record requirement on our immigration policy.

Also, trees full of oil and bonfires. What can go wrong?

Is it premarital if you never get married? Or is the problem with the boys who go on to get married later?
