  1. The Hong Kong handover wasn't them not caring, it was a lack of better alternatives. Won't argue for a moment with the others, but that one was very definitely trying to get the least bad outcome in handing over a modern, civilised state to a government that was comprised of lying, murderous barbarians. (as in take the worst that people say about any Western government, dial that thing up to 11 and that's probably going to describe the CCP)
