I can just see the ladies in their gowns descending the staircase, with men in their tophats waiting below. I would love to stay in one of those comfortable big bedrooms, with the huge windows. I can dream, right??

I have found that the butler's pantries in these older homes are among my most favorite spots in the houses. I love the built-in beauty & cozy atmosphere.

@Lydia Gaebe, I agree wholeheartedly. I will never be among the bloodthirsty mob making excuses for why a perfectly good structure must be destroyed. Sometimes the better answer you & I believe in takes a little bit of patience. Period.

I'm with you on that. I am a person who likes cubbies. I enjoy decorating each smaller space differently. It's not for everyone, but it's definitely for me.
