cormac sheehan It seems to me your looking really hard to come to that conclusion. An in-depth of this subject would compare overall safety to conventional vehicles. One thing I have no doubt about is that computers will be FAR safer than humans given a few more years of advancements. Tesla and others doing such tech should be given a little slack as they work through the problems, they need time to develop this and some accidents will simply have to be accepted. I think Elon's 'factor of ten' improvement is grossly understated, but it depends on time frame, maybe he's talking about a few yr.s not a decade.

And how much of your hard earned money do YOU have riding on TSLA?

@DaCaptaiNn Good car and charger go from 20% to 80% in about 15 minutes, additional 200 miles or so. More expensive version 300 miles. You don't sit there pumping gas just plug in and go pee or whatever. Install chargers at doughnut shops and cars will be at 100% all the time. ;-)

BRING IN THE CAMS! I'm impressed by that last bit.

@Kii3700 The one's you know personally? Or is that your public school and garbage establishment media indoctrination? (sarcasm would be appropriate but you don't seem that clever)

@nottelling4828 Yes crappy chargers and cars take that long, things are changing fast, 15 minutes for additional 200 miles is becoming the norm for new gen more advanced cars and chargers. If you are a few yrs out of date you are completely out of touch. Legacy OEMs like Ford are way behind the curve, most won't survive the decade in any meaningful sense and the Mach E is vastly inferior deal to, say the Model Y. Still the Mach-E, which Ford is losing fortunes on even at uncompetitive prices, is going to please the cops I believe.

N Yodeler Yup. Another version of "talk is cheap"...if one has no skin in the game and never have they shouldn't even opine. They have no idea what they are talking about.
3
Actually it's the norm. Do you even know any ranchers? I do.
3
Yup, make sense for everyone but cop cars in particular. Silly they'd choose inferior Ford over Tesla tho.
2
@nottelling4828 Charging time will be much less than making a trip to gas station (for smaller PDs) and maintenance is vastly lower for BEVs than the best ICE, purchase price for a Tesla will be similar to the ICE alternative. The Mach-E is inferior but still better than ICE.

Only seen one mountain lion in Cali/Nevada in all my decades and when I tried to spotlight it from a high point in road overlooking nothing but 2ft high well spaced desert brush...it had simply VANISHED where no place to hide was conceivable. Footprints in the mud or other signs not hard to find, I assume they are watching me all the time in the backcountry, look very similar to these cats.

Century plus "droughts" are the norm for recent Cali/Western history (several thousand yrs) CO2 has essentially nothing to do with it except reducing water requirements for plants and increasing their health and growth.

@kentonburke4433 Especially when it came to bankruptcy--it was a continuous vocal expectation of the Shorties. It was the most obvious joke ever.

Is he OK? Sounds like 5G got the best of him. :D

@Poppinlong WHERE is oil used for electric generation? The USA (with exception of Hawaii which ended fossils recently) terminated all oil fired plants in mid 1970's. Join the 21st century maybe??

@afcgeo882 What's your point? Increasingly they can charge anywhere and it's less of a burden then filling with gasoline if they bother to install good charging. Funny they pretend that forgetting to charge is an issue anymore than forgetting to fill with any fuel.

Ricardo Micai Just DO IT then.

Sure, now YOU have zero responsibility for anything bc you are just a weak pawn. Well done avoiding the necessity of effort.

@AnonymousReviewer-zn2dk Certainly teaching that livestock raising is 'evil', have you not noticed?? The UK and Holland are even demanding the elimination of substantial portions of domestic beef cows, Canada likely next and as the USA sprints toward the USSA, Authoritarianism/Marxism--who knows when we'll all be punished for everything we do over climate hysteria nonsense. Granted factory farms tend to be degrading and detrimental in many ways, cow farts isn't one of them. (methane only lasts a decade and half in the atmosphere, conveniently ignored by popular fear mongering Establishment Media Mafia) Free range cattle, as well as wild herbivores obviously, can be integral to a healthy landscape but such nuance is completely missed by simplistic indoctrination.

April Fools Day bankwupt series is hilarious.

Sometimes symbolism matters. The current paint scheme may well be too tasteful and attractive for the current crass, obnoxious regime. It's misleading to have a classy plane for such a vile POTUS.
