  1. cormac sheehan It seems to me your looking really hard to come to that conclusion. An in-depth of this subject would compare overall safety to conventional vehicles. One thing I have no doubt about is that computers will be FAR safer than humans given a few more years of advancements. Tesla and others doing such tech should be given a little slack as they work through the problems, they need time to develop this and some accidents will simply have to be accepted. I think Elon's 'factor of ten' improvement is grossly understated, but it depends on time frame, maybe he's talking about a few yr.s not a decade.
