  1. Elon does participate in intimate engineering details all the time. Obviously he's not doing the grunt engineering work but he's essential to making hard choices that sometimes his teams may be highly skeptical of, usually he's right, otherwise he corrects immediately upon realizing it. Has a visceral rejection of the "sunk cost fallacy".

  4. 8:30 I can answer Elon's take on legal immigration--he envisions a rigorous vetting process that only allows the "right folks" in, productive who believe in our Constitutional values. Or those who have graduated our high end universities say.

  7. USA would not put up with Canada or Mexico becoming part of the "Warsaw Pack" or similar. We promised to halt NATO expansion well before where it is today. Putin a bad dude but we are not innocent.
