No one else was either including stock brokers encouraging margin or the hordes of irresponsible citizens using debt and mortgage leverage as tho prices could only go up, and everyone else living beyond their means...paycheck to paycheck is reckless and causes systematic risk....NO ONE wants to say it but there it is.
