Also peak idiocy is vids like this that jump to a convenient pleasing conclusions without evidence. Fact is no EVs even burned on this boat.

@simanothername3035 That's what the fire investigators concluded as I understand it. Can't give you more off top of head. Did you not accept the pure speculation that the freighter was burning due to BEVs without any facts?? Bet you did!

@simanothername3035 No well made EV will allow any water, salt or otherwise, into the battery box short of a catastrophic crash. Try to take a small gasoline engine, with any fuel or vapors, on an airliner, yet everyone takes their phone and laptop with Li batts. What you think is a "reasonable assumption" could be nothing more than your willful ignorance or indoctrination. Further feeding misconceptions is not the solution...but it's for you to decide. I've made a modest fortune from all the FUD and pure BS in this space, so I'm thankful for it in a way. Might be worth noting that roughly 10X more fires occur per mile traveled on American roads with common internal combustion than battery powered. (part of that may be age but it's still important)
