  1. I wonder about raising meal worms, crickets or even earth worms as supplemental feed, trout certainly eat that sort of thing in the wild. Grasshoppers make excellent fishing bait.

  2.  @moekitsune  I raised mealworms for a while as a child to feed my pet toad, forgot the details by now but seemed it was just some wood shavings...but that doesn't make much sense.
