Prius is for old ladies and others who loath driving, it's a complicated efficient ICE car belonging in last century. A real dog to drive.

@crankybuzzard6867 Compare that with 125 MPGe for a Model 3 and near zero maintenance. Plus the Prius is misreble to drive and Teslas are fun and FAR safer.

@jeremytine More seriously--always been impressed with Toy for Prius, as an econobox. But it's long since outdated. Upgrading can wait for those who don't drive that much and want to stretch pennies. 'Cheap' BEVs far better than Prius will be available soon enough.

@jeremytine You need to update yourself in a couple yrs--charging time will be 15 minutes (30 at a crap station or crap car) for an additional 250 miles. Do you not take a break a couple times on a 600 mile road trip? How often do you drive that far anyway? Imagine being able to climb a long grade at any speed you like instead of clogging the road with that 35 hp ICE Prius at 45mph. Prius has last century technology, new batteries, LFPs, are heading to 1 million miles. Imagine a car that's FUN to drive instead of painful dog Prius, I doubt you really can until you try even a marginal BEV. Toyota apparently going to die clinging to it's old tech.

@jeremytine You are still manipulated by establishment propaganda and nonsense. Vast majority of Tesla "defects" were over the air software fixed in days. Owners didn't even need to know about them. (other mfgs can't even do OTA). Corrupt Consumer Reports simply tallies the 'defects' as tho a Toyota's wheels falling off (it's BEV) is the same as a paint defect. How does one know your Tesla info is bullshit? Because there is no brand even close on owner loyalty and satisfaction despite some flaws that are fewer every month. Many don't like the stiffer ride, I get that and so does Tesla, new versions have softer ride, and SO ON. Whatever real you may have learned about Tesla from last yrs news is history, they iterate constantly. ALL legacy autos spend billions (some "only" half a B) every yr advertising, aka., manipulating public opinion and purchasing media propaganda. Your Prius is crap in the Sierras, my neck o woods, batt range runs out in the foothills then it's rubbish ICE struggles for next 3 hrs whilst you fearfully study rearview hoping to not be rear-ended by a bicycle. If you think hybrids have a future in a BEV world you are simply WAY out of touch. OK I got it, anyone who owns a Prius hates driving. (I can see why) But how about a car that costs 1/4 as much to operate and needs nothing but tires and windshield washer fluid? Might you actually learn to enjoy driving if it wasn't a wobbly wagon with atrocious handling and acceleration? How about safety? You'll be dead in your Prius in an accident you'll walk away from in a Tesla, simple fact. You WILL go BEV for one reason--economics, probably sooner than you think. There will be nothing about your 20th century antique you miss. I'm done with this silliness now. Have a nice yr!
