They can't be paid much doing it with 150 yr old methods, they aren't worth much doing it so inefficiently. That's why they are poor, mechanization is required to dramatically increases productivity. 3000 tons per yr for entire nation when one man should do that in a week.

@Layd36 If not for Westerners those jobs wouldn't exist. How do you define "exploit"? Pretty sure no slaves are used.

@karhukivi Unhuh, better than ag I'd assume given conditions. Again--not disrespecting anyone and wish them, you, ALL well.

China can induce some hurt while gradually making themselves irrelevant.

They can't be worth much doing thing so primitively. Entire nation produces 3000 tons when one man should do that in a week.

@karhukivi Lol, nonsense. I come from mining industry and this is NOT how it's done, hilarious take tho.

@karhukivi Copper in Philippines, gold in NV/Cali, tungsten in Cali, coal Utah, CO.....half of that second hand as in my family history not me personally. How about you?

@karhukivi Gold is often 'vein type'. This graphite extraction is extremely inefficient to the point that poverty is the only option regardless. In a world where everyone was doing it that crudely it might be valuable (a relative term) labor. NOT the world we live in fortunately or we'd all be destitute. NO disrespect for the miners obviously.

@Ishwolv Not in the US where most trades can readily command well over minimal 6 figures. Start own itty bitty biz with solid base of skills, work ethics and integrity at say $150/hr.

@waylonjennings5063 Leach off your neighbors you mean, that results in universal poverty.

@waylonjennings5063 Must suck to be so damned dumb. When's the last time you read a good book? lol
