An astounding situation, no where is there intended to be more free thinking but it's been completely subverted to PC which is self censorship, aka., fundamentally dishonest. Friend of mine was a Phsyc professor in N. Cali and had to quit because he wasn't allowed to tell students the truth.

@brianmeen2158 Happens all the time, Wokism is extremely intolerant, exclusive and racist to the core.

@matthewm674 Dumbest comment ever award.

@ilovebutterstuff Indeed. Let the perpetual victims, virgins fail.

This from the worst example of Trump Derangement Syndrome in history? Must be a personal journey.

@meeppeep4113 Agreed, the IQ aspect a bit surprising to me but the rest is obvious. A total failure of our school/university systems and NOT the only failure....same goes for mindless "deconstructing Capitalism" notions and a few other areas often noted. Unfortunate that groupthink is so pervasive, should at least be variety.

@stevec3526 Adolescent incel fantasy, avoiding responsibility for own life.

I'm not young but being raised w/o TV anyway I'm one of them. To this day I'm often shocked on rare occasions I come across TV news in a hotel lobby say...it's SO damned DUMB.

Everyone is biased, what's your point?

How about getting some courage? That's a solution any individual can implement by themselves.

@infinityslibrarian5969 What did he imply that was dubious and why? Be SPECIFIC.

Question for all climate warriors--what IS the ideal CO2 level? 280ppm where we 'started', 420 today, 500 next decade, 7000 eons ago and life was thriving?? Magical if 280 randomly happened to be best for life on Earth.
3
@TheRexTera Interesting idea. Traditionally higher ed was a launching point to a productive life and caught young minds that are most agile and robust. Note how most genius advancement happens in relative youthfulness. How about having a yr of real work on the 'farm' (mines, ranch, factory....) required as part of the curriculum? I put self thru starting at an underground mine then my itty bitty contracting biz, that keeps one grounded (accidental pun).

And masculine is NOT pretty

@chrishernandez3473 Bottom line: CO2 is important but FAR from the driver of climate. I've studied the data extensively to come to that conclusion. By far the primary greenhouse gas is water vapor. I'd ask anyone--what is the ideal CO2 level for Earth? It woud be an astounding coincodince if 280ppm, a near all time extreme low, happened to be best for humanity as tho Earth were made for us. (granted we were made for Earth) During recent glacial maximums that meant terrifically dangerously low levels of around 180ppm. Mass plant life extinction is expected around 100 to 150, that would mean the end of everything that matters. To me it's clear that current levels are much better than prior to industrialization, definitely greening the planet, increasing crop yields and reducing water requirements. That does not mean 1000ppm would be OK. Will 500 or 600ppm (where I believe we will settle at prior to complete obsolecence of fossils) prevent the next glacial maximum?? No one can say bc the models do NOT WORK. Suffice to say that colder is far more scary than warmer, humanity has always suffered when temps were lower, not even considering the terrific devastation of glacial maximums.

@brianmeen2158 "'We are going to find a black woman for the Supreme Court.'" (Biden a few yrs ago) Did anyone even notice? Imagine if a president said they were going to find a rich white man instead.

My tiny disagreement is solar n wind forward viability...coupled with efficient affordable massive batteries, combined now are unsubsidized economically competitive in many cases...not all and NOT OVER NIGHT. Fossils are heavily subsidize too, if mostly indirectly, I'd both free them some and reduce subsidies. Gov ultimate monopoly is stupid, private sector relatively smart by Darwinian forces. (Darwin always wins in the end anyway) Solar n batt eventually a no brainer where I live, max self-sufficiency and economy. I don't fear CO2 up to say 500 ppm, then reassess.

@jacquesd5781 "Try to live without or make fossil fuels without sunlight." WTF are you on about? Yeah fossils have their place and will for a few more decades at least, just not for your home or personal transportation. ICE cars are finished this decade for simple economic reasons. You need to update yourself, while the fossil fuel status seems static, which lulls you into thinking that your 2 decade old barebones understanding of other tech is still relevant, it is NOT. Batt storage is a tiny footprint, price/performance highly compelling and getting more so every yr. One can cost effectively live off grid right now in much of the world, power your home and car off your roof. I know I will with next house build in a few yrs. I still love my 'old' BMW V8, bit of a petrol head really, but it's day is about done like it or not. Nukes are fine, NatGas is pretty good. All fossil consumption is better than consuming our forests for fuel as we would have. Petrol saved the whales too.

@dixonpinfold2582 SURE Nostradamus. It's going to get worse for the idiots who chose that path, not for ME it isn't, I'll continue with the likes of vids like this.

One of the defining characteristics of the Poverty Mentality is that money solves everything, they never even begin to conceive of all the NEW challenges and problems it creates. Average Joe DIDN'T pay that price, so NO he wouldn't, couldn't imagine such self discipline, rigor and persistence over decades....no dissing anyone here but let's be honest.

I started back then boycotting just the "mass shooting" garbage that the likes of MSNBS for so long shamelessly promoted and profited off, openly encouraging the next deranged idiot to copycat for notoriety, then extending the story with the derivatives created by the very fear they created. Since I've dropped one Yellow rag after the next. LOVE to see LAT to CNN go under at this point, a reason to celebrate.

I too enjoy anytime politicians squirm which is why Cali Governor Newsom recall attempt was worth it. I suffered an entire Newsom radio advertisement once and his big claim to fame was mandating vaccines for medical personnel, I kid you not.

HATS OFF to ppl like this back in the heat of the environmental wars and Cold War. I remember the era but sure don't know all these small effective efforts.

@Easy-Eight WE can switch to other platforms if YT becomes too evil.

I don't care where she's from, could be anywhere it makes no difference and NO one person represents an entire nationality.

Profit = providing more value than you're consuming. How's that a bad thing?

@noconspiracytheoriesplease.745 NO hypocrisy implied at ALL! JP didn't suggest that HE DID NOT pay these costs, who would know better than one who has been there.

Been watching "beginning of crash" for 15 yrs. !YAWN!
1
@chrishernandez3473 That's simply faulse except the obvious about bacteria which is also irrelivant. Take a look at the Younger Dryass and a few million yrs prior, WILD swings in temprature dwarfing anything seen since or even predicted by computer climate models which do not work. There never was a time in history when you could get your "science" from establishment media which has always had zero understanding or concern about science or reality in general. They care about attracting attention, that's IT. Yet most get their info from exactly that.

I'm guessing the down votes are mostly among the toxically indoctrinated who wouldn't even invest 10 min. here.
