@smokedbrisket3033 Degree is just a basic foundation, a starting point to build on, not a ceiling. What one does with a degree (or without one) is what counts, not the diploma. He read every technical book, engaged every expert in the field he could, for yrs to indeed become a rocket expert himself. Given it's based of fundamentals of physics, "rocket scientist" is reasonable title.

@Ketowski Ever heard AOC or Elizabeth Warren use "billionaire" as a pejorative? They wouldn't do that if it didn't resonate with a significant chunk of their constituencies. Nonsense class clashing is everywhere. Proposals for 'billionaire tax', common man assuming they know the character of a man based on exceptional wealth is a constant theme. MANY are infected with the ridiculous notion that one person's gain is another's loss.

@Ketowski You just made my point. You actually think they are somehow fundamentally different? U think life is easy for anyone? Get an F'n clue, EVERYONE STRUGGLES. You might see a handsome mid age man whisking down the freeway in a half million dollar car and think: "That guy has it made." U don't know if he's considering steering into the next concrete overpass abutment to self delete, U don't know anything about him.

@Ketowski Life isn't fair, some are born beautiful and brilliant others dumb and ugly. Are U suggesting we should "correct" for that? Life isn't entirely fair, get over it. Yes we should strive to make it more fair but not by cutting down those we envy, most of whom U don't even know, it's childishly presumptuous to assume you'd be happier in their shoes when U have no clue what their struggles are. A smile might represent self disciplined obligation to the world instead of happiness. I loath those who project their struggles as anger to the world, sounds lk you might be one of them. Monopolies are illegal for fundamental reasons, the application of enforcement is flawed, but that's a tangent. Presumptuous seems well ingrained in your mentality, you have NO IDEA where I get my views.

Elon Musk is the most consequential person in the world today and we are lucky as HELL to have him. I KNOW this from decades of his words and actions, talks, books about his companies and him. The end of everything good, and he's one of the key defenders of principle and a just, prosperous healthy society. Don't for a second think that civilization, let alone this nation, is guaranteed.
