Leslie Anderson Let me get this straight--You are telling me that a 2 yr. old girl DESERVES to be tortuously slowly killed by leukemia and that a billion infants DESERVE to be born into starvation because they chose the "wrong fuel", aka. wrong God? Really? How did an infant make any choice at all??? Please tell me you are better than that, better than your backwards bronze age religion!

Leslie Anderson Seriously?? Are you THAT clueless or just obstinate? Imagine that ONE man had the ability with the snap of his fingers to say--eliminate all disease and poverty on Earth and he choose not to do anything, would that be your response?

Leslie Anderson Expose yourself to some history and reality in general, religion IS NOT serving you well, nor humanity. Things have never been better for humans than they are today, not even close. When Christianity had it's way with Europe they created hell on Earth, since then we have gradually been civilizing that barbaric belief system until today we can almost live with it. Ever heard of the 6 centuries in a row, 52 Popes in succession each dreaming up ever more horrific torture devices for anyone who had a thought of their own and the courage to express it. The Church would confiscate a persons property and slowly torture them to death, they weren't "burned at the stake" they were slowly COOKED for hours, it makes Hitler look incredibly humane. THAT is the logical conclusion of Christianity and it's all justified by the Bible. I bet you don't have much good to say about Islam, and for some good reasons as it's currently expressed even worse that Christianity, but O. bin Laden or any of his sort can't even hold a candle to The Inquisition nor did Islam slaughter any where near as many or as cruelly as Christians. Thank GOD innate human ethics and decency over rules barbaric Christianity today in most of the world.

@peterdatechmen5506 If Christianity is based on the Bible than we are lucky it's not far worse as that book is an endless stream of horrific mandates with a couple trite benign bits tossed in that normal folks can repetitively quote to pretend the Bible represents good advice and morality when it's almost entirely toxic and corrosive to the moral fabric of societies.

@peterdatechmen5506 It IS a gory series of stories about a barbaric "God" no matter how you spin it or what the context. Couldn't he simply say: "Rape is wrong." "Genocide is never justified." "Killing a person due to his worshiping the 'wrong God' is extremely immoral." ....and so on? Nope. Instead he promoted the WORST possible tribal instincts demanding horrific acts from his followers. How can that possibly make things better?

There is NO circumstance which it's OK to mandate murder for the most trivial "transgressions" imaginable, rape, pillage and genocide for ANY reasons. There simply is NOT. Yes it's disturbing to any normal human being with average INNATE ETHICS of a 5 yr. old child. Ignoring the blatant fact that GOD IS ALL RESPONSIBLE if he is indeed OMNIPOTENT, that means he could have made us incapable of horrific deeds by 'nature' and or he could at any point intervene such that an innocent child does not suffer leukemia or rape by a priest, but he chooses not to. All powerful equals all responsible, no getting around it. To claim that God's evil mandates are a proper reaction to the sometimes vile acts of his creations is ludicrous. Your smarter than that. You happen to believe a certain dogma by accident of when and where you were born, there is no reason behind any of it, quite the contrary. You can look at any other religion and pick out it's bad parts but all you manage to do is make excuses for one of the (probably THE number one historically) most horrific religions ever invented by man. You make endless ridiculous excuses for it because the edifice of your dogma has instilled terror to your core in order to manipulate you, tap your pocket book and keep you trapped. If God is truly the 'author' of the Bible than it's a test, if you fall for it, if you believe a supreme being could possibly be that hideously immoral than YOU have failed the test. But don't worry--no way that equates to your going to a lake of fire, not even A. Hitler deserves infinite torture, maybe you will simply have to suffer a few centuries of purgatory for failing to use your God given mind and innate ethics.

@thefucrew9865 If unborn children (or unconceived) had free will they wouldn't chose poverty, disease and early excruciating death. HOW is this hard for you to understand? It doesn't matter what others including parents have done it's, not the burden of others to carry the blame. GET IT??? That's the definition of IMMORALITY. Obviously the Goddamned Bible has corroded your moral compass. Your god is small minded vicious evil tyrant and the real "god" will punish you for cowardice, intellectual laziness and irresponsibility for falling for that false god. You should be ashamed.
