Better than nothing beta--it will get a lot better.
16
Why does it matter? Bill isn't doing much of anything.
16
I read the Book "Hunger"...many yrs ago and realized that it WILL CONTROL you, starvation, make you do things you never thought possible.
15
American malls were grossly over built, 4X the sq. footage of other nations and due for a serious trimming regardless of Amazon.
15
@DunMiCKeYZhao You are funny....childish ignorance is like that. Who has been killed with FSD besides NO ONE? You'd benefit from facing the real root of your emotional issues, can't be about Tesla it's all on you.
14
Simply taunting the Big Boys who have multi-billion $ advertising budgets, typically big media trash Tesla...but pick your market T is crushing it. Nothing that a little payola can't fix here.
12
Misusing a car is as old as cars, defeating safety systems is not a rap on the mfg.
9
Reporters have never understood anything beyond ball sports and the weather, always been scientifically illiterate and easy to dupe.
7
@polarbear2579 Creative destruction. Jeff Bezos had vision, Sears didn't. It's a very healthy aspect of business....change with the times and customer requirements or die. No company is forever, that includes Amazon.
5
And totally typical.
5
@mannfan12 However--there is room for both and those with no credit card, or Walmart regulars, it works for them. Walmart has a workable model and competition is crucial, Amazon is getting a bit too powerful.
4
@RyanSellman1 No. I cross shop at Home Depo and they beat Amazon on price often and with free home delivery, Grainger has gotten it together online with great customer service and prices, McMaster Carr has stuff few others do, and many others are doing fine. Amazon doesn't have it all and their prices are not always competitive. America became grossly over capacity with malls anyway compared to other countries, 4X the square footage, those were due for a retreat.
4
mr fantastic Endless opportunities in the TRADES, this is not news. 6 figures plus available with only a few yrs investment in acquiring skills. Much of that is far harder to robotize than driving. Is investing in yourself, building work ethics, integrity and valuable capabilities beyond your consideration?
4
@Hartleymolly The entire island is a volcano and the power plant is geothermal, get the connection?? Good GRIEF.
4
God already did way more than asked--"he" lit most of these with fave old tool lightening.
3
As always--the cure for high prices IS high prices. I'm waiting for the inevitable crash in prices before building.
3
Y'all need to get crack'n , RUN! I need my Xbox and doughnuts darnit.
3
That's a false choice, the two are not separable. Fire is an essential element to most of US wild landscape, many tree species cannot even reproduce without it including redwoods.
3
How so? What do bankers have to do with anything here other than allowing Sears extra time to change or die?
3
Don't make a career out of something so routine that a robot can replace you...those are the worst jobs anyway.
3
Hope for more 'free' acreage creation, w minimal damage. "Live on (by) the volcano...."
3
@GibboFrank Nicola T. wasn't blocked from doing anything, Good Grief.
2
@StanSensei I've been hearing THAT for 30 yr.s.
2
The future has ALWAYS been uncertain. Duh.
2
@JipJDB Of their time. I know as well as anyone, in my tiny town it was the source for everything other than groceries. I don't know what you are saying "actually" about, I already said or implied that.
2
Decade later: Still exactly the same poise, articulate humorous entertaining sharp and intelligent as today.
2
Do ANY of these analysts have any grip on the underling technologies?
2
Seriously--later this decade robotics are going to expand to the roads, autonomous driving and moving pkgs to and from delivery vehicles, pretty much everything. Humans will be phased out.
2
@chukchee We don't know that humans will exist for centuries but yeah Sears had it's day and it's not to be missed, it couldn't hold a candle to AMZN.
2
Indeed but fire is still essential, many native tree species can't exist without it, so it's a question of burning on 'our terms' or when conditions are most dangerous.
2
mr fantastic I didn't say it was easy, since when has easy been a worthy goal?? Since WHEN was getting ahead EASY? Good for you, sounds like your doing fine without robbing banks. 99% of goods are moved by fossil fuels, what's your point?
2
Seems to have worked SO FAR! 😄
2
You don't understand Econ 101. The proof will be crashing prices later on.
2
Then there's Elon Time which typically means he's way optimistic how fast he/they can accomplish grand goals. But the rockets are going well so far. Can't be too soon for me to watch from EARTH as folks struggle, fight with eachother and die on Mars, I sure wouldn't go to stay it's going to be a misreble existence at best.
1
WAY past time to murder Smokey Bear that asinine simple mentality is a BIG part of the problem here. Many USA native tree species including redwoods cannot reproduce, can't exist without fire that should tell you fire is not optional and certainly not new to much of the wild landscape. California has not been in drought it's been wetter than average in last 5 yr.s.
1
A lot of what he says is laughable, literally funny.
1
Frequent fires in the USA are not optional either, we have to get back to that, Native Americans burned it annually and many tree species cannot even exist without fire including beloved redwoods!
1
But we always need to give his most ambitious time frames about 2X longer. I'd say man on Mars around 2030. He has ultimately delivered on the most crucial goals if mostly late to way late. (notable exception: 2014 @ some 30k car production he speculated 500k in 2020 and was mocked for it on The St.)
1
He has always been spectacularly successful and is still exactly the same in terms of values, goals, personality, most important qualities.
1
@the0ne809 He does the impossible LATE. Boeing, Lockheed and others laughed and chided him for the notion SpaceX would ever land and reuse rockets. Today SpaceX lifts 90% of the entire globes tonnage to orbit and owns 70% of all functioning satellites and the only global high performance internet. I could carry on and on but I already exceeded your bandwidth.
1
@cyberslim7955 Adolescent labels aside--reality is what it is, you can deny it, have a tantrum, or embrace it.
1
@cyberslim7955 That means you are a simple minded indoctrinated fool. A willing victim of fake news. Congratulations. Stupid rewards for stupid moves.
1
@DunMiCKeYZhao LOL. And you are an expert it artificial intelligence are you?
1
@DunMiCKeYZhao Sure. Not that you know what it even IS let alone implications.
1
Like previous Chinese famines, this too is entirely caused by Communists.
1
Worse then that it consumes as much fuel as it produces, it's a complete disaster.
1
Weird conspiracy theories early 2020: Vaccine passports, forced injections, Wuhan Lab leak hypothesis, Hunter Biden scandal a little later....those were totally OFF the rails, Alex Jones territory. It's not for YOU Bill or any group of "experts" to tell us what's true and not.
1
Biden will figure out how to make things worse, he always does.
1
Does it?
1
And it would have been pertinent to say HOW MUCH reduction in cobalt was realized.
