Which means bankruptcy, I'm fine with that. Tesla sells direct to consumer, no shenanigans, no haggling no hassle no wasted time no extra markup.

They are largely obsolete and won't be missed. What value do they add? Not much.

Vast majority shouldn't be buying new, making payments means you can't properly afford it.

@hkfan4596 I've long believed it to be inevitable, but also the unfortunate demise of legacy auto MFGs, they are simply too poorly managed to survive what's coming to the market. Ultimately it's all healthy, in rural America we used to rely on the likes of Sears, no one even remembers them now let alone misses them.

@redhed9776 If it's more than the bare minimum you can get by with then you should have enough to pay cash for it twice over. The primary cost of a new car is generally depreciation. I've never bought a new car in 45 yrs of owning cars. (exception for a 1-ton service truck for my business) One can by an old Civic for very little and get by just fine. Live poor to become rich. Having driven econoboxes for decades, I can now drive what I WANT. The reason folks are living hand to mouth is poor or nonexistent monetary discipline.
