  1.  @emrahayaz3207  Of course but it's vastly easier to accommodate than compression forces which are not only far higher but subject conrod to buckling failure. Have you EVER seen a rod fail from tension? I don't think so as it's not even close to the limiting factor and tensile strength nearly mirrors compression strength even before allowing for buckling which is how rods normally fail and at the bottom of stroke compressive inertial forces are similar to the top where max tension can occur.
