  2.  @loumencken9644  I'm NOT CONVINCED those photos aren't warped for some reason, I've seen recent images from the ground looking across the dam and it looks fine...doesn't mean it's OK but it's not bent or wavy nor do I think it could distort like that without total failure.

  4.  @uzziake  It originated in China and they persecuted the doctors who issued early warnings instead of getting a grip on it when it might have still been contained. The US is in the same boat as the rest of the world as far as dealing with it.

  5.  @quadcityracing  The US hasn't done anything to try to end the CCP, instead we along with the rest of the world helped them rise from the perpetual mass starvation they were mired in for decades. We gave them far too much room to violate trade norms and rules, only recently began to demand they behave in fair, legal fashion like everyone else.

  6.  @uzziake  BULLSHIT. China's data is completely COOKED, they control all the media and intimidate or "disappear" anyone countering CCP dogma. Their fatalities could be 100X higher than reported and probably are. They tried to cover it up by punishing the whistle blowers instead of dealing with it. And THEY CREATED IT!...not coincidentally given the conditions and habit of eating wildlife like bats. With regards to personal freedoms it's getting much worse in recent yrs.

  7.  @uzziake  Yes it's true that most governments failed to handle well but it wouldn't have existed if not for China and it may have been isolated if not for the evil CCP. And it damn sure is evil.

  8.  @uzziake  Maybe some of that is true but no where but China did doctor get severely punished for attempting to alert others. Governments are more inept than adept almost by definition, they are the ultimate monopolies with little incentive to take risks to get things done, they are followers and react to crisis only after public outrage instead of preventing them.
