Fun fact: Petrol cars burn to the ground so often it's not even news, 10X more than BEVs per mile. 😄 And good brands break far less than ICE. (((this from old 'petrohead' still in love with old BMWs, esp. 2011, M3 screaming V8, no desire for BEV but they'll rule very soon)))

@Tentin.Quarantino Look at some recent recalls, a few ICE cars have done exactly that. A quality BEV like Tesla is very low risk, only severe crashes or bottom impact far beyond what's required to puncture a gas tank occurs. (they have impact belly pans) With precious few exceptions, every one of which is international NEWS. I carry fire extinguishers in my ICE vehicles, lol.

@Tentin.Quarantino Another thing--when a batt car burns it's near impossible to extinguish, BUT it never fireballs like gasoline always does, making passenger egress relatively very safe for BEV.

@jeremiah6462 Nope. Market distortions aside, subsidies for oil or renewables, etc...economics tells most of the story. BEVs win hands down despite all the propaganda manipulation from both sides.

@TugIronChief Apparently you are projecting your own tiny mentality.

@richarddudley9920 HA! Complete nonsense propaganda just like this BS channel. They don't tow BEVs because they don't breakdown. :D

@DigiDriftZone Petrol cars burn homes all the time. If you get your impressions from headlines you'll fall for anything, the LA Times predicted last November the end of snow in the Sierras. lol Here we are buried in the white stuff.

@shannona6989 Of course, vast majority of BEVs are newer. Just be careful of rampant propaganda which characterizes virtually every Establishment media source. I could compile a yr long vid on petrol cars burning just in last couple yrs, it would surprise nobody. Poorer quality brands like the GM Bolt had real fire issues, all were recalled. Ford just recalled all their limited collection of EV F-150s for similar reasons, tho I think only one actually burned. (was also an American petrol car, new model, recalled last yr for 'spontaneous combustion', forget which one. But that's not newsworthy.) Tesla has 4 million cars on the road and you'll struggle to find a handful that caught fire without obvious severe crash damage or maybe running over a granite rock the size of a basketball. And that's over 15 yrs on the road. Tesla is the only one who doesn't pay "news" Media Mafia protection racket, aka., advertising. So they are fair game for endless propaganda abuse and it shows.
