I just hope they are as much focused on their own horrific governments. We didn't suffer quite the insane Authoritarian abuses they did and I haven't heard of any prison sentences handed down yet when there needs to be many thousands of them in Australia.

@danielmanly4793 The most depressing scary realization for me in last few yrs, I know, naïve, but I really thought: "Liberty and Justice for All" were core American values STILL. May as well trim that from The Pledge of Allegiance. Many, possibly most of general public actually want to be told what to do! They WANT a damned dictator.

@abrahamthebewildered1448 I'm stupid optimistic, don't see it as quite that grim. Deff serious risks tho. I think many similar to me, 62 lifelong non-tribal, neither party, "complex Centrist" have flipped to simply hardcore anti-Leftist Truly believe in Liberty or Death. (still no Republican but for 1st time in my life I went down the list crossing out anyone with a Dem label, then working with what's leftover...last election)

"Freedom isn't free" is most true for the mundane, the dirty day to day biz of politics and popular propaganda....we always need to be vigilant but more than ever now. I started out neutral on Newsom, give everyone a chance--gradually grown no loathe the SOB. He just enacted (if it passed) legislation to mute doctors who fall out of lockstep with "THE Authorities* on such as vaccine risks! We once had an active ACLU to take this sort of threat to constitutional court test....rumor has it they have been bought by the Left as well. (where were they thru all the lockdowns, vacc passports, etc., etc....) My history sucks--but has that never happened before in USA?? OPEN CENSORSHIP! Similar but worse for the DHS, that weasel in charge trying to justify their proposed Ministry of Truth ... that's more terrifying to ME then 9/11 attacks. I'd abolish the DHS unless they could show me they've prevented worse terror than they advocated, something I seriously doubt they could do. I like to flash back to the turmoil of the 1960's/70's, somehow we survived those yrs and came out better for it overall.
