@TheMarpalm Astounding, huh? Any normal 8 yr old has better intuition....but then there are those raised on video games. :D)

Yeah it's made of cheese for sure.

@positivepawpaw7564 HAhaha. Good one. Ever heard of Isaac Newton or basic physics? Or ever left the basement and, IDK--tossed a ball or done anything real?? You don't need to "push against" anything in that sense, you only need to throw mass in one direction and the object "throwing" will move in opposite direction. (you can't be serious, lol) An atmosphere only provides drag, resistance to motion, far easier to move in space than the soup of Earth's atmosphere, for a rocket. Aircraft use the air but it's still a big drag as well.

@positivepawpaw7564 NO OFFENSE, we should ALL be learning everyday. You realize we have 10's of thousands of artificial satellites orbiting Earth? You can easily see them with naked eye in right conditions. Only way we have to put them there currently is rockets. (other methods are theoretically possible, just not within our means yet)

Space is hard. (more like 100's of millions of $)
