@markarvind9765 Sounds like more BS to me. Try getting your info from the actual sources instead of popular propaganda
16
@Ginger30161 This is about $8 worth of electric at home, a little more from a supercharger. Never going to see mass adoption of H2 for this purpose.
10
Typical too, always fastest moving.
9
Apparently they have.
7
@ What do you drive and what would you like to own? Kyle got an offer of $110k from Tesla out of $130k original cost w the 27k miles on it. According to him that's standard offer policy, real news not propaganda.
7
@TroySavary Inflation is half of it and it's a much better vehicle than original specs in most ways. Price will come down while they get significantly better in everyway.
7
@sophieedel6324 150 plus towing an Airstream trailer. No one should be towing at 70 or 80mph and speed makes a big difference.
6
@Diedwhilemakingwaffles Converted diesel no doubt, hasty low investment results.
6
Yeah half a steering wheel, for a sporty car in particular, doesn't get with me either.
6
All good except for HOA, a layer of "the man sticking it to you" I wouldn't tolerate.
5
@markarvind9765 So you can't even afford a '94 Civic so your opinion is moot. Pedaling is good tho, once rode from Central Cali to Alaska and back as a kid.
4
Saw elsewhere that the rear trunk has 2 modes of opening, as shown here--max opening area OR just the top lid starting at break above lights, just the roof.
4
@terryinozland Many get hung up on form factor when it's the revolutionary tech that makes it most compelling. I didn't want one until learning how good and advanced it is. Never buy first couple yrs of any new model tho, give 'em time to improve and fix early issues.
3
Might be a few yrs before CT depreciates given order backlog.
3
Also sounds fairly trivial to fix.
3
I'd be driving same way but from "passenger" perspective (desk, lol) Drew even scared me a bit when pushing it into turns. (if he knows that road makes a big diff)
3
Amazed that suspension is so different, I too have mixed feelings but agree MOST will want softer ride, maybe even me if I have a sports car on the side. :D
3
"We are carring around a lot of weight." 😄
3
@itisim It's over a 1000/week and ramping, 50k run rate, should be 150k rate by yr end, that's mass production.
3
@itisim He hasn't changed in 25 yrs, what ever he is he should continue to be, most spectacularly productively successful person in history.
3
H2 definitely DOA. Complete joke.
3
Firm and decisively at that. :D)
3
Gotta think the yoke guarantees very poor recovery potential, I need to free-spin the wheel in such circumstances and grab it anywhere at anytime. Only thing I like about yoke is visibility over it. Somethings shouldn't be changed just to be cool or different.
2
Far better to have a pack without problems and all the associated penalties of swapping capability.
2
Surprised it's as good as it sounds here, hatch a big deal but so is no fronk. Styling is excellent except for the front which is becoming less obnoxious over time, fake grills rub me wrong.
2
@gregkramer5588 Nonsense. Depends on the user but many find a sedan frunk to be highly useful. Certainly imagine I'd put groceries in a Tesla frunk rather than having to secure items in the back. Families want as much storage space as possible for a given footprint, significant front volume adds to that without having all items buried in the back.
2
Deff agree about half a steering wheel, other than the lack of obstruction to screen it seems ppl like'em just for the novelty which will wear off.
2
@yingnyang2889 My deepest sympathies to you. :-/ HA! Back in the day when YT was young they badgered us to change our names....no idea why, I liked my handle "Fuel1". In irritation I chose the goofiest handle I could think of. Clearly many others had same response. hehehe
2
Best use of hotdogs ever, def don't wanna eat those things.
2
@Kennethstef Just buy few shares. ;-)
2
@Kennethstef Bought my 'dream car' used 2011 BMW sports car in 2018, a toy, it cost me half a million $ bc that $40k would have added to my mid 2019 TSLA all in. ((no worries for me I put far more in TSLA $38 to $60, gotta live in the present too, just an example of opportunity cost, I drove econoboxes for decades, home long paid off, zero debt forever))
2
@Kennethstef Back at you, your enough younger to be well ahead of me at 61. Life is good.
2
@Kennethstef You are almost as close to 60 as 20 in terms of the perception of time 18 is half way to 80.
2
Entertainment a principle factor for success.
2
If they aren't affordable nothing else matters, pricing will come down while they improve.
2
No--CT makes all the other trucks look funky. 🙂
2
Always thought of these to be about the most hideous outside of GM and Chrysler at their worst, but after this review I don't really care about that, it has it's place.
1
Lost me at 11:40 "Ford makes some of best handling cars...." LIKE HELL they have.
1
@stevespawn1 Yes most who own CT love them. I'll buy one after some more maturity in the model, SO many entirely new systems, 48V, Ethernet, steer by wire, 4 wheel steer, way better than I expected except for range which will improve. "Never buy first couple yrs of ANY all new model from ANY MFG" Most of the cynics are children who can't afford a '94 Civic and don't know what they are talking about.
1
What article specifically? IDK about that but there's a litany of fake news, hit pieces on the CT and Tesla.
1
@marcochavane3124 Not far fetched but also apparently not the case for Kyle as he explained.
1
@markarvind9765 Buying or not for form factor is sort of childish but I get it. I didn't want a CT until learning how advanced and good they are. Often hear they make every other truck seem like they are from the 1950s. Never buy first couple yrs of any new model tho, always issues to be worked out even w far less revolutionary features.
1
Not say'n it should but in heavy traffic that could be 'required' looked from my screen 25:35 was doable in a sporty way, early hard acceleration. At least 5 seconds to clear oncoming car, doubt I'd have let either, but a human could certainly accomplish that without great drama/risk. After a lot of use one might gain confidence to let it do a lot more.
1
Elevation a BIG factor, lower drag while everything else the same.
1
@jaypie0864 Great point but towing can be very problematic. (so is towing a genset, lol) Surely you exaggerate on 10 to 1?
1
Air Stream with OUT compound curves?? That's going backwards.
1
Charging curves are like most curves, we love'em! :D
1
Eventually we 'need' precise, software adjustable steering feedback. Bet it can be excellent. 1:28:30
1
@stupidas9466 95% of towing is done with far smaller lighter trailers.
1
Don't favor making choices based on aesthetics but that thing is too hideous to own. Ridiculous fake "old Peterbuilt' grill coupled with golf cart wheels...
