They won't, I don't believe it anyway, no sort of taxi is going to fit everyones needs or desires.

@xxrodrmanxx Mainly in cities. A taxi will ALWAYS be a nuisance if not completely useless in a rural setting. If I want to drive 40 minutes to go swimming in a remote stretch of river, hike or whatever, I don't know when I'm going to ready to leave on either end and what's a taxi going to do? Drive each way twice or park and wait for a couple hrs?...maybe that would be OK on standby all day if it's cheap enough. If you own a business like I do, vehicle is your billboard, it's equipped especially for your needs and so on. What if we have an emergency--wait half an hour for a taxi to get to us? Granted most do live in soul crushing cities these days.

@some1private It's not all that uncommon for one person at the top to make the difference between mediocre and spectacular company performance.

Saints are generally evil perpetrators of vile dogmas, they never accomplished anything they only stifled humanity. (yes I understand your true meaning, lol) NO ONE could have done what Elon has done with Tesla.

I don't buy into the $100k FSD, they won't have a monopoly on it.

Government run programs have ZERO monetary discipline and are ALWAYS extremely wasteful.

@Chris_KAy You have an urban perspective which is appropriate for some 80% of the population but not so applicable to many rural situations. It might be difficult for you to visualize how those of us who shun congestion/crowding and love our space, freedom and privacy live, but NO it won't always work for some of us. So much for us minorities. ;-) It will work out for the better one way or another, cheaper vastly safer transportation for all.

@mariolis That's summed up in the word "monopoly".

@matthysburger8966 Not a scam, it will be a real thing and Tesla may have a monopoly for a while outside geofenced areas and it might be the best system, it will likely be the most cost effective/profitable but yes the competition will be heavy and the customer will be the big winner.

@matthysburger8966 Yeah maybe, I object to that term but I sure wouldn't be counting on it as a Tesla/FSD owner or a stupidly long TSLA holder which I have been for 18 months. Many of us would have a real problem renting out our personal vehicles to random strangers to trash anyway.

CT should have had at least a $1k preorder price, $100 is almost meaningless.
