@carlosvillafuerte2883 Most are sick due to substance abuse, many avoid shelters bc they don't want any rules. Compassion is well and good but enabling their addictions not so much.

The pendulum swings folks-- it will swing the other way before Seattle is in ruins. When you subsidize something you get more of it, not hard to understand. Coddle the derelicts and they multiply.

@kckush5046 Yes of course. And it's THOSE exceptions we want to help most. I wouldn't know about the $ trajectory but sounds valid. We are dealing with it in my modest 120k pop. town in farther N. Cali too. One of my wealthy friends offered a good size patch of land outside downtown but near basic services/airport, for a big homeless camp, better than nothing, but there are always a host of roadblocks to overcome. I think they want to be centrally located to access more crumbs and handouts but they TRASH our waterways, otherwise beautiful parks and pretty much everything else.

@BennieTarrMusic No such thing as ALL or EVERYONE in this context, OBVIOUSLY. We 'all' want to help those who are doing everything for themselves to get it together but they are a small minority in my experience Never been easier to earn 6 figures plus in American then today in the trades, but that's real work and usually substantial skills required, skills that a diligent man can acquire on the job or taking night classes at JC, or whatever. Massive demand for a good worker with high integrity.
