  2. As a fellow American who grew up with these 'muscle' cars, lets face it, we may love these old sleds but they are rubbish compared to modern modestly priced performance cars.

  4. ronald4life1 Nonsense. I haven't spent much on my 330ci in 15 yr.s of ownership, has 140k miles and easily get another 100 with a couple more sets of suspension bushings and a few other things one can DYI. The only serious flaw is the rear frame which needs to a moderately expensive repair and reinforcement. Many out there with 150k plus on the clock and going strong.

Michael Jez Actually many E92 M3s make it way past 100k miles with no rod bearing problems, a very few have serious problems before 30k so apparently there is something inconsistent about their build or assembly. Google ANY car you can think of and there will be a litany of hysteria about some problem or another. The E46 had the sub frame problem which if neglected can nearly total an otherwise sound car. A big part of the reason E46 M3 is holding its value is because there aren't many out there after kids destroyed many turning them into drifters, crashing them, etc. And they are very fine cars with timeless looks.

  6.  @trishitdevbepary2048  BTW--I have about enough TSLA to purchase a low end Model 3 and I could care less about one trick (ie. drag race, that's about 2% of the car) let alone a highly un-scientific example of it. It just doesn't matter...range, features, handling, creature comforts, storage, batt durability, charge speed, charging availability, many other things all considered as a package. But I keep cars 'forever' and still love my "old" BMW E92 M3 which is a lot more fun tho much more expensive to operate...diff class of cars...I don't tote around 5 folks I drive myself plus a passenger on occasion, my last ICE I expect and not ready to give it up yet.
