I've often witnessed workers raising alarms about that which they know nothing too, so it may be difficult to discern signal from noise.

@hugolafhugolaf Indeed--many make a career out of nothing but fighting management and avoiding being terminated.

@saragrant9749 Best to avoid any outfit that's unionized regardless. It may be that management was crap enough to deserve it, otherwise the pettiness simply infects management after unionized. Entering the environment later it doesn't really matter which came first, it's toxic and counterproductive either way. A worker who has bothered to make themselves valuable can easily opt out of any task they see and excessively hazardous without negative consequences and any management that doesn't respect that isn't worth working for. Hard to replace workers have endless options. If the above still doesn't suit you--create your own darn job, start a business, nasty union culture induced me to start tiny contracting biz at 20, the only good thing I got out of union. I started working there at 17 (technically illegal) but no one noticed. Gained a lot of crucial experience in few yrs and good memories with the bad...moved on never looked back.
