  4. Fire is an essential part of the landscape, many species can't even reproduce, canNOT EXIST without fire including our beloved Redwoods.

  6.  @surrealist1976  Really?! Forests are bad for us? Humans have been a part of it as long as they've been there. Humanity has aided the natural cycles up until toxic Smokey Bear mythology, "The cruelest joke ever played on the West." took over mid last century. Native Americans lit it off seasonally, then ranchers, loggers and other forest users and lovers continued seasonal burns until forced to stop by bad government policies. And THAT is when the stage was set for the bad fires after decades of unnatural fuel load build up caused what used to be mostly healthy fires into devastating all consuming fires.

  8.  @surrealist1976  Have you never walked alone among less traveled trails in the Giant Sequoias? One of the most 'spiritual' experiences available IMO, they require fire. Get it? (just one of endless examples, many other species w similar requirements)
