@theoryofpersonality1420 Never heard anyone claiming dry grass spontaneous combustion. Just takes very little to light in hot dry conditions. Entire West was born to burn, we create big problems by not burning it frequently enough as was done seasonally by the natives, then ranchers, loggers and other forest users, going back multi-millennia. Then Feds in their infinite wisdom curtailed the practice around 1960 resulting in decades of fuel build up and catastrophic fires. Many native tree species can't even exist without fire.
