  3. Could be hard choices involved, hard to find nice place w/o HOA. I can burn brush piles in my backyard (do it fast and clean twice/yr), but I've been harassing one neighbor, friendly with ALL around inc him, about his reeking trash trailer that even a 'local' restaurant uses. May have to get authorities involved which I loath the thought of. No way to HOA, but there are tradeoffs.

  8.  @itsatrap7215  Wanna be tyrants tend to enjoy tossing their easily gained power around, worst sorts of ppl. Property value only matters when buying or selling, home is a liberating quiet pleasant place to LIVE (for me), sure build some equity but not a great financial investment, don't care what it's worth on a given day. NO WAY to HOA, friendly good terms w all around me but a yard or 3 overgrown is nothing, been badgering one for his reeking trash trailer right over the fence out front.

  12.  @majorneptunejr  The Rivian isn't attempting or claiming to be a work truck, it's a recreation rig that happens to be a great commuter/GP vehicle too. (or at least after they integrate into Tesla charging infrastructure, like all American EVs it's only good for local service without Tesla chargers)
