Many of legacy "assets" are a bit dubious, old ICE factories may not be worth much.

Toy has largest debt of any Co. on the planet, a lot is collateralized with their vehicles I understand but they could be deluged with defaulting underwater customers.

@user-ow1bn6qv8q Sure, but if they continue to lose money on those plants? They are compromised, somewhat outdated and inferior to new plants as confirmed by VW building new faculties specific to BEVs while old ones languish. (at least that's my rudimentary understanding, don't focus on or care much about legacies)

@user-ow1bn6qv8q Remember how Tesla bought old Fremont plant from GM for a few pennies on the dollar, tho they did gut it of the best machinery first and it was the Great Recession, but that's a likely coming scenario too.

@4literv6 Toy and GM never did close to a million out of Fremont plant, Tesla is heading toward 1M and will surpass that. (quick search says Toy made 250k/yr out of Fremont)

@user-ow1bn6qv8q Yeah it's a travesty to bail out Government Motors again and it won't save them for long, strings attatched will further weaken their already tenuous position, debt laden, union mafia crippled, crappy culture and inability to transmission to BEVs effectively and profitably. DOOMED. I expect you are correct and will be calling my congress ppl for my 2 cents of protest.
