@ItsVideos It will be attempted but it's rough in the beginning, skepticism required. I don't want to live without forests, rivers, an atmosphere I can live in, NOT a DIM SUN. But I relish others try if they want. We MUST develop insurance for sentience.

@ItsVideos So you decided your own life and life in general is trivial. Can't argue about your life, that's your choice, but consciousness is precious. The universe is meaningless, worthless until WE (life in general) attach value to it. To say the "universe was just fine" is hilarious nonsense devoid of sentient entities to make that judgement.

@ItsVideos So you 'think' the universe is conscious? Or you defer to hypothetical alien intelligence to assign meaning to the universe? A rock, or even a quasi-infinite pile of rocks, probably can't make value judgements so it must come from somewhere else. Right?

@zachw4394 That's a heck of a project if foreseeably feasible at all, many thousands of yrs. I wonder about the physiological effects of a distant sun, not that humans will have the luxury to be exposed to it much anyway. For the time being ppl will have to be good with living indoors or underground continuously, that ain't me.

@zachw4394 Right. I'm excited to see others pioneer that project. Another fact of Mars life is never having a phone convo with anyone on Earth again. If it was possible to spend a single month there without a yr of round trip travel I'd love to visit...hypothetically.
