When it rolled on stage was the only time I literally wished I hadn't bet the ranch on TSLA... however a couple days later and I began to like it, only grown on me since and I've yet to see one in person. (also can't justify buying one) Wouldn't be surprised if order backlog is 4M a yr from now.

Strictly speaking--pricing it right will reduce that backlog to, say 6 months, prices can come down later as they get to 500k/yr or so. No point in selling below resale value.

Probably 150M Americans would love to have one, who cares what the other half want? I suspect they better ramp to at least 500k/yr ASAP.

likely 300 to 500 mile ranges and high end close to $100k initially.

No idea why you'd want a trike, darn good reason you don't see many on the road, only advantage is cost cutting, I'll pay for the forth wheel thanks. 😉

AirPods still look dorky as hell but their utility rules.

It must make economic sense, you don't make money by losing it even with right offs.

What's the average price of new pickup sold in America today? $70k or so?? THAT should be primary compare.

Yeah $50k in 2019 is some $60k today, still seems low to me tho, at least for next yr or 2.

It was more about taking full and advantage of Model Y profits, they can't do everything at once and batts were (still are) a constraint. Adding CT to mix would have reduced Y output/sales.
