Yeah he impressed me by even meeting with Munro, good free advertising to a limited audience but also a risk as he wouldn't necessarily control the narrative. I used to view him as similar to a football coach. And the Lightening is actually a compelling rig in a space I'm not even sure the CT will penetrate much, a real work truck. Most sales of CT seem to be more of a fashion statement.

@davidbeppler3032 $300M I believe. What a farce, as if there weren't enough red flags that'd have been it for me. He always struck me as dubious at best. Looks like he'll get away with it unlike Trevor Milton. It was all so predictable after TSLA rocketed, all the opportunists came out to scalp the naïve reckless gamblers. Amusing if a tad sad. Losers asked for it but I hope they learn useful lessons and don't just get blown out permanently.

@cd947 GOOD to hear that! I may be underestimating it in that regard and I'd bet you a beer you'll love the aesthetics too after a while. (at least warm up to it) The Lightening will be inferior in many ways but that 'no lift over' frunk is going to be superior, plus easy access outlets there but CT can offer a bunch of power outlets. The suspension compressor, if it's only made for that capacity, is not enough for a lot of other uses but maybe T will up it's performance too.

@cd947 When they 1st rolled CT out I, as many, thought it was a joke, then I was regretting the pile of stock I had THEN I began to like it. NOW it makes all other brands look like grandma's grocery getters, cheap cheesy chrome plastic grills and pointless fragile crap all around just to make it different from prior yr. The profile is weird but I'm long ago good with it all and do believe it will look much better in person. All wheel steer should be a real attribute too. Lightening has inadequate range and maybe other specs.

I wonder about LFP batt recycling, iron is dirt cheap so not much return there. Naturally it's much more complicated than that including ease of separating elements.

@davidbeppler3032 I doubt that, there is Li and other valuable metals involved along with the pack box itself (if that counts here). It depends on how efficient recycling is compared to mining/milling, possible that even iron can be extracted profitably.

@davidbeppler3032 IDK, see how much brine, dirt or rock it takes to produce even Fe and Li from earth, it's a lot. High grade ore is an appropriate description of batts
