Same here. Got the saw first over 5 yr.s ago, then blower, hedge trimmer and finally mower a couple yr.s ago probably weed wacker next.

@Joeys hobbys - small engine fixes NOT even a problem. If you have more than one tool you probably have more than one batt, one will last 30 min to and hr. and they take max of 30 min to charge, swapping batt is faster than pulling an ICE starter cord.

I'm with you on that tho I leave some 'empty space' which will remain small lawns among islands of productive beautiful trees, bushes, vines, etc.

Now if you'd just replace some of that lawn with productive fruit trees and bushes it could be an even more attractive space to BE. ;-) (nice vid)

@Joeys hobbys - small engine fixes ICE lawn tool days are going to last about as long as the tools themselves. GOOD RIDDANCE.

@JustfishNascar I bet you can do more than you think with it! But yes more is better, I'd love to have multiple acres. I'm lucky to have excellent climate and world class soil, loam literally deeper than you could ever go, maybe well over 20 ft. deep...seems a shame not to utilize it to grow anything one can.

I can't say if it's the best option available but switching from ICE to EGO yard power tools yr.s ago has been a huge savings in time, racket and frustration. (chainsaw, blower, hedge trimmer and mower so far) We had 2 acres to mow as kids including 100's of yards of ditch and pond edges to trim via hanging the mower over the sides.

I got one many yr.s ago, it's not quite professional grade but near ideal for my use with almost zero issues except for leaking bar oil on the shelf. It is somewhat bulky and heavy maybe with batt. but well worth it. I went thru several garbage corded saws in a couple yr.s before going EGO. (now have their blower, mower and hedge trimmer with weed wacker in my shopping cart) I've talked with pro tree trimmers who use professional batt chainsaws every day....Milwaukee I believe.

@UndecidedMF I've been working on my little 'private slice o' paradise' via islands of high density growth with comfortable path trajectories and some open spaces mixed in. Amazing what some do with only say 1/4 acre, I have 1/2 and lost track of how many I have planted at around 150 and still a lot to do.
