Not that unions give a crap about the general welfare and economy but Tesla is the best hope for future German auto manufacturing.

@entropy5431 Yeah they arguably were not of negative value a century ago, not so much for your reasons but for safety. Today a valuable worker can 'write their own ticket', get true market value. Minimum wage primarily eliminates entry level jobs, NO "worker" can receive more than they are worth to society, to their employer, regardless--when that threshold is breached another job simply disappears. We could do a ton of good for the world to roll back childhood work laws a little, be more Amish where they enjoy learning work ethics at a young age, it's crucial to childhood development. Similar for family farms, ranches and some other small businesses. Those kids always grow up more responsible, respectful and capable.
