I welcome options including death traps like this. (if that's what it is) Choice is good. But my money would go to the Cybertruck for a host of reasons.

An "engine out front" transfers the impact, does not absorb it which is what you need. Be it electric or ICE, a motor in your lap isn't pretty, but as you suggest--space is required to accommodate crushable structure, one of the reasons T-bone accidents can be so bad is there is little room between passenger and outside edge of most any car.

@ryanwilliams3857 Imagine if one only or primarily used it on ranch or farm, safety systems would be trivial, but I guess that's not most of us. Still a market for that.

@dijikstra8 "Perfectly safe"? No such thing, many of those you mention are no where near as safe as a Tesla. But it's none of my biz what personal risks others take, I've used seatbelts decades before they were mandatory, similar for motorcycle/bicycle helmets, but I think such laws are dumb, even immoral.
