Also customers learning shortcomings: no OTA updates, some software issues, charging sucks, range not great...value not there, but as you say--there's always a price.

@Ryan_DeWitt Poverty is a choice in much of the world, certainly the USA. But if cutting your driving cost by 4 or 5X matters, typically does, they'll be buying a BEV over next few yrs regardless of how long that ICE may last. (exception for those only driving few k miles/yr, then that '94 Civic good to go) Even before the insane subsidies, in America it's ignorant to buy a new Camry without considering a Tesla 3 or Y, even a Corolla in most cases will cost you more over 5 yrs than a Model 3. Other brands aren't there yet.

@Ryan_DeWitt Anecdotally and many polls I've seen make the point of ignorance very clear. It's an argument for Tesla to do some real advertising for 1st time ever. I appreciate that many rightfully backlash against "being forced" to go EV, but that notion will be overcome by economics over next several yrs, and a much better experience overall.
