  3.  @electricviking  "The World is a Mirror"...albeit a blurry one. The attitude you project tends to be similar to that you receive back. I did a lot of hitchhiking from around 8 to my mid 20's and had it down to a science. Absolutely crucial to face traffic and have a positive attitude, not always easy if you've been stranded for a few hrs. Motorists WILL gage your state of mind at a glance, you can't fake it, and it makes all the difference as to whether they stop for you or not. Looking each driver in the eye makes it harder to pass you by. Had a lot of interesting good experiences that way. Still pick up others to this day.
