Rover still makes exceptionally attractive vehicles, excellent off road, but pricy and breaky. They're toast unfortunately.

No one wanted the Ipace, failed.

@robertwilson738 Some of best ever automotive taste and style, or just pure old fangled utility which is it's own beauty. :D Brits got it going on there. Hope that heritage survives the decade in SOME form. Growing up one of our friends, generally modest doctor family, had a dark green E-type Jag in the garage in `70's....infrequently he drove it and no one else was allowed to touch it, always a head turner. Only the doc with a 911 could compete in my tiny town USA hood. lol

Yeah it failed, no one wanted it.

@daveamies5031 Not a question of waking up, typical evolution, new tech always starts out expensive and rapidly drops as volume increases (paid $8k for my 1st desktop computer, 1989, just to barely run software I wanted it for, inflation adjusted) Good news is your way is only a few yrs away. Sooner perhaps used, I never buy new. Very good affordable options from Asia and Tesla OTW. $25 to $30k with near zero maintenance and 1/4 the price to own/operate? Depends on your circumstance and how many miles you drive.

@daveamies5031 Bit of petrol head here, zero desire for EV yet , can't bare to part w beloved 3 pedal 2011 BMW M3 and that singing 9k revving V8, tho could sell it for $40k and invest lk an adult. :D 22 yr old BMW 330 still a fun towny/daily. But if you were an Uber driver the savings in fuel alone makes the Model 3 payment and does a great job.

@daveamies5031 Yeah you can't have miracles, next gen Tesla will be affordable not a tow vehicle. Most commuters never tow. 2nd hand market in couple/few yrs M-3 for you.

@daveamies5031 Uber driver one extreme end of spectrum, high mileage means fast pay off while the dude only driving 2 or 3k miles/yr can run that '94 Civic indefinitely at low cost...you are somewhere between.

@daveamies5031 You don't want your tow load to even approach dominating your tow vehicle. Possibly your boat and trailer are light enough for next gen T? But the 3 is compact enough at least for American streets.
