"Hottest yr on record" but not near as hot as the recent geological record, Medieval Warm period was 1.5C hotter.

@markvalery8632 Recent couple decades is laughable compared to Younger Dryass, I guess those stone age SUVs were really busy 13k yrs ago. There is nothing special about recent decades other than CO2 increase which is a bit player in climate, not remotely THE driver. What is the ideal CO2 level if we could just flip a switch?

@markvalery8632 The point being that CO2 is NOT remotely the driver of climate, it's a trace gas crucial to life on Earth with minor greenhouse contribution that diminishes in additional effect as it increases, that is to say doubling it does not double the effect as that sliver of the radiant heat blockage is already largely occupied. Water vapor is 70% of the greenhouse effect. YD saw 12C swings in a mater of decades or centuries, today we fret over 1.5C over a century, not saying we shouldn't, just perspective and proving that climate is not determined by anthropogenic CO2. Climate is scary as hell having nothing to do with humanity. Record keeping (sparse as it was at the time) started at the coldest time in the last 10,000 yrs coincidentally, around 1880's, based on ice cores and sediment analysis.

@markvalery8632 Again I ask--what is the ideal CO2 level in your opinion and why?
